Smelley Cock Prevails

Posted by Matt on August 28, 2008

That’s what she said…?  — I’ve got nothin’…

Sophomore quarterback Chris Smelley breathed life in to a stagnant South Carolina offense late in the second half on Thursday night and went on to lead the Gamecocks to their first, second, and third offensive touchdowns of the season during the opener against North Carolina State.

Meanwhile, Gamecock starting quarterback Tommy Beecher chucked four passes to the opposing team — which is a solid 25% of the completions he had to his own team —  before leaving the game with a head injury that would have made Rodney King jealous.  I ‘smelley’ a quarterback controversy? (I’ll be here all night, folks…)

The South Carolina Faithful — or as I like to call them, “The ‘Cock Lovers” — began chanting “S-E-C” late in the fourth quarter after the Gamecocks seemed content settling for a 34-0 curb stomping of the Wolfpack.  Seriously?  Chanting “S-E-C” against N.C. State?

That’s like chanting “U-S-A” during a United States vs. Japan basketball game…  Shortly after WWII…

  1. I heard Smelly Cock was a dick. He always fucked around during practice, and while everyone else was getting dirty, he was cleaning his balls with a homemade “I Love Spurrier” rally towel.

Wow, strong words in this writeup. I bet I could write an equally strong writeup about Kentucky’s WIN (emphasis mine).

And yes, we chant S-E-C as a warning to the ratsuck Awful Collegiate Conference that surrounds us geographically, and who we abandoned (thankfully!) all those years ago.

1 ACC team down, and 1 left at the end of the schedule. I very much like our chances in that game as well, given Bama’s ownage of the Tiggers.

I know, I know. It was all in good natured fun. I actually enjoyed the S-E-C chants and was rooting for South Carolina to silence the ACC.
