Harold Reynolds Just Won’t Go Away

Posted by Matt on June 12, 2007

Roughly 11 months removed from being canned at ESPN for allegations of sexual harassment, 46-year-old baseball “analyst” Harold Reynolds is again employed according to MLB.com. Reynolds is now an announcer for MLB.com and made his debut today in a one-hour interactive web program that went live at 2:00PM EST. I began avoiding watching “Baseball Tonight” on ESPN when Harold was a crew member because I honestly got tired of hearing him say, “now going back to my playing days with Junior in Seattle…” or, “back when I played with the Mariners and Junior…” whenever he felt the need to flex his credibility muscle (not that he had one), which was basically every segment.

Listen Harold:

WE DON’T CARE THAT YOU PLAYED WITH KEN GRIFFEY, JUNIOR, SO DID ROUGHLY 500 OTHER MAJOR LEAGUERS OVER THE YEARS.

And just for the record, Reynolds was a career .258 hitter with 417 strike outs to only 21 home runs in 12 seasons.

A resentful “Welcome Back!” is in order for Harold Reynolds, and to MLB.com: put your female interns away.
