Wickman To Be Sent Back Down To Local Pub’s Dart League

Posted by Matt on April 26, 2007

Atlanta Braves’ starter Tim Hudson was stellar, going 8-innings of 9-hit, 3-run baseball with 12-strikeouts against the Marlins last night. Hudson was replaced in the bottom of the 9th inning with the bases loaded and no outs, handing the reigns over to right-hander and All-Star beer drinker, Bob Wickman. Wickman proceeded to give up a 2-run double, a walk, a 1-run single, and a 1-run game-winning wild pitch in an unheralded effort to record the loss.

Wickman will reportedly be sent back down to the local pub’s dart league that he was brought up from to pitch in the Majors back in 1992. Bob will be in action on “the board” with dart teammates of fellow pitcher David Wells and golfer John Daly in the “Hooters’ Invitational” next weekend.
