Reds on Pace for Perfect Season, Dunn for 324 Home Runs
Posted by MJ on April 3, 2007

A firm beating of the Cubs on Opening Day in Cincinnati has left us all optimistic for the upcoming season. Behind not one, but two Adam Dunn home runs and a solid Opening Day outing by Aaron Harang the Reds went on to win by a score of 5-1, with the lone run coming off a Ryan Freel throwing error. The Reds are on pace for an UNPRECEDENTED 162-0 and a home run tally for Adam Dunn of 324, which would shatter the current single season record of 73 set by Barry Bonds in 2001. This season total would also put Dunn past the 500 mark, eclipsing the 200, 300, 400, and 500 home run plateaus all in one season.
